CloudOS uses several strategies for high availability:
- For Virtual Machines (VMs): It uses "HA Clusters." If a physical server fails, the VMs running on it are automatically restarted on another healthy server in the same cluster.
- For Applications: A feature called "Application HA" can monitor specific applications/services inside a VM. If the application crashes, it can automatically restart it.
- For Infrastructure: The distributed architecture (Regions and AZs) allows for cross-data center disaster recovery. If one entire site has a problem, services can failover to another site.
